John and David Andrew will discuss the current system and production figures from their 150 suckler cows and 550 hill ewes and areas of focus as Monitor Farmers whilst viewing the livestock, including ten recently purchased Luing heifers.

Getting the best from your Hill Livestock Robert Ramsay, livestock farmer and SAC Consultant has carried out at review of the Andrew’s Suckler Cow system, so what should be considered to drive a sustainable suckler cow system? Robert will be joined by local farmer and Management group member David Whiteford of Maxwelston Farm Dailly who has drastically changed his farming system over the past few years.

Controlling Weeds in Grassland – Soil Essentials Soil Essentials will tell us about the new SKAi spot spraying innovation system which is about to launch. It was born out of a desire to minimise chemical usage on specific problem species in crops and grassland, saving costs on unnecessary blanket herbicide application, and reducing the environmental impact.
